This is how you use your Skotti
6.2
Ignition
Possible danger to life due to incorrect use and carelessness
`
Skotti should not be exposed to strong winds during operation. The
ignition and flame control should always be turned away from the
wind
`
Take care of yourself and your clothes when lighting Skotti. During
preheating or if Skotti and/or the gas cartridge are shaken vigorously,
liquid gas can escape and cause shooting flames. Long and loose hair
or wide clothing can quickly catch fire.
To light Skotti, proceed as follows:
1 Slightly unscrew the gas regulator on the gas cartridge to the left
until you hear the gas flowing.
2 After 1-2 seconds, use a lighter or match to ignite the gas in the
burner pipe through the honeycomb-shaped ignition and flame con-
trol hole located on the foot panel.
Possible risk of explosion, fire and deadly injuries due to gas
`
If, due to wind or other factors such as a faulty lighter, match, etc.,
you are not able to ignite the gas in the burner pipe within 4 sec-
onds, stop the process.
Tighten the regulator screw by turning it clockwise ( )
`
`
Wait at least 1 minute, so the gas can flow out of the grill. Other-
wise, there is an acute risk of explosion.
3 Repeatedly check if the gas in the burner pipe is ignited by watching
the ignition and flame control.
4 If the flames go out, immediately close the gas regulator to the right
( )
Possible risk of burns due to hot surfaces
Skotti will probably still be hot. Make sure not to touch any of
`
Skotti's parts when you light the grill.
5 Wait at least 1 minute before igniting it again.
Have fun grilling.
