Display
Description
The measured temperature is too high.
H appears in the display if the reading is
above 42.2 °C (body mode) or 100 °C
(object mode).
The measured temperature is too low.
L appears in the display if the reading is
below 34 °C (body mode) or 16 °C
(object mode).
The ambient temperature is too high.
The ambient temperature is above 40 °C
(body and object mode)
The ambient temperature is too low.
The ambient temperature is below:
16 °C (body mode)
5 °C (object mode)
Error indication in the display.
A malfunction has occurred.
You hear 3 short beeps.
Blank display.
Check the position of the battery.
Flat battery indicated.
Insert a new battery.
