HOW IT WORKS
Horseflies only distinguish between light and dark and react well to heat. The black ball of the trap
is warmed by the sunlight and fools the horsefly into thinking it is a living creature. The horsefly
tries to stab the ball and is directed upwards through the funnel as it takes off. There it finds its
way into the collection container and can no longer escape.
6
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
1. Inflate the ball (6) with the supplied air pump until the ball (6) has a diameter of approx. 50 cm.
NOTICE
Do not over-inflate the ball as it will continue to expand as it warms up and could
otherwise burst or tear.
2. Plug the ball (6) with the plug (10).
3. Hang the ball (6) on the square end of the hook (7).
4. Attach the funnel (8) to the holder (4) using the hook and loop fasteners and hang the ball (6) in the
holder (4) using the hook (7).
5. Fill the collection container (5) and insert it into the holder (4).
6. Hang the horsefly trap using the rope (1) in a desired position.
The horsefly trap is ready for use.
