SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the operating instructions completely before using for the
first time. The operating instructions can be found on the
Leifheit homepage under www.leifheit.com.
Fundamental safety measures must be observes when using an elec-
trical appliance:
1. Use the appliance only as described in these instructions.
2. Never use the appliance if the cable, connector, housing or power supply
unit are damaged.
3. Repairs may only be carried out by authorised customer services techni-
cians. Never open the basic unit single-handedly. The individual compo-
nents of the basic unit must not be disassembled, repaired or altered.
4. For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use charge base P-VC042
together with supply unit BLJ15L220050P-V or JOD-S-220050GS provided
with this appliance. Make sure that the voltage specified on the rating
plate of the power supply unit corresponds with the mains voltage.
5. Make sure that the appliance as well as the power supply unit do not get wet.
Do not operate the appliance or power supply unit with moist or wet hands.
6. Do not store, charge or use the appliance outdoors, but always at room
temperature and in a dry location.
7. Do not use the application in the vicinity of flammable gases.
8. Protect the appliance against intensive heat and do not expose it to direct
sunlight.
9. This device may be used by children as of the age of eight years and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of
experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or have received
instructions regarding the safe use of the device, and have understood
the resulting risks.Children may not play with the device.Cleaning and
maintenance of the device may not be performed by children without
supervision.
10. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning or maintenance.
11. Do not touch the rotating brush roller when the appliance is switched on.
Make sure that the running cleaning brush does not make contact with
body parts or clothing.
12. Store the appliance out of reach of children. Do not leave the appliance
unattended when it is switched on.
13. Keep packaging material such as plastic bags and similar away from
children. There is a risk of suffocation.
