Introduction
Your physician has prescribed the Vario 18 for airway
suctioning. This suction pump from Medela is a high-
quality suction pump that combines easy handling
and cleaning with safety features to ensure optimal
operation.
Intended use
The Vario 18 suction pump is indicated to clear the air-
ways either through the nose, mouth or tracheostomy
tube. The connecting tubing delivered with the device
must always be connected to the catheter prescribed
by your physician.
Intended user
The Vario 18 should only be operated by properly
trained persons.
Service life
The service life of the device is three years.

Federal US law restricts this device to sale by or on
the order of a health professional.
