BEFORE FIRST USE
•
Unpack the appliance and its accessories, wipe it them with a damp cloth and dry them.
•
Plug in the appliance.
•
During the first use some smoke or smell might escape. This is perfectly normal during the
first use. Therefor we advise you to operate the appliance empty for about 10 minutes.
•
Before use, grease the plates.
•
Do not eat the first waffles.
•
After a certain period of time, the housing of some appliance might get a light brown
colour. This is due to the steam coming out during cooking, and this is inevitable.
USE
•
Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet. The red pilot light and the green
ready light will come on to indicate that the appliance is switched on and heating.
•
The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. During use,
this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is
regulating the appliance's temperature.
•
Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.
•
Open the heated device.
•
Cover your hands with flour, then take the batter and form 8 balls. Put them in the moulds
of the baking plates and close the lid until it is locked. This way, the batter will be spread
over the plates.
•
HINT: If you cannot close the appliance, this means that the batter is too hard.
•
The result of the first operation will show whether us used the correct batter quantity or not.
•
During operation, hot steam will come out of the appliance. Make sure not to burn your
fingers.
•
After about 7 minutes, the waffles will be ready. Hint: open the lid now and then to check
the browning degree during operation.
•
Open the lid and remove the waffles with a wooden or plastic spatula. Never use metallic
objects as these could damage the non-stick coating of the baking plates.
•
UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED.
CLEANING AND CARE
•
Unplug the appliance.
•
Let the appliance and the baking plates cool down before cleaning.
•
Clean the housing with a damp cloth and make sure no damp, grease or oil seeps into
the appliance.
•
Clean the plates of the appliance with a damp cloth or paper towel.
•
For tenacious residues, you can use a soft brush.
•
Never use metallic objects or abrasive products.
•
Never immerse it in water or any other liquid.
•
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes. This appliance is not suitable for
professional or continuous use.

International BELGIUM. The pages must be reproduced and
folded in order to obtain a booklet A5 (+/- 148.5 mm width x
210 mm height). When folding, make sure you keep the good
numbering when you turn the pages of the I/B. Don't change
the page numbering. Keep the language integrity.
