10. Operation
Only take the device into operation after familiarising yourself with its functions and these operating
instructions.
Check all the connections again. When you have done so, reconnect the negative pole of the car battery.
a) General Operation
PWR/MUT button (3)
• This button switches the radio on and off and activates muting.
• Push the button briefly with the device off to switch it on.
• Push the button long with the device off to switch it off.
• Push the button briefly with the device switched on to activate muting. The display (4) shows MUTE. To deactivate
the mute function, push the PWR/MUT (3) again, but only briefly.
To switch the device on, you can also push the rotary control (10).
Rotary control (10)
• Turning this switch adjusts the volume.
• Brief or long pushing of this switch permits additional menu settings.
• Briefly push rotary control (10):
VOL > BAS > TRE > BAL > FAD > LOUD > EQ > BEEP > STEREO/MONO > LOC/DX
• Pushing the rotary control (10) long:
EUROPE/USA > TA SEEK/ALARM > MASK DPI/ALL > RETUNE S/L > TAVOL
• These settings are explained in more detail later in these instructions under "Menu Settings".
Display (4)
• The display (4) shows all the information, depending on the audio source that is being played (radio, USB playback
etc.).
