Stereo/mono reception
• Push the FM ST. button on the remote control to switch reception of the radio unit to stereo or mono.
• The ST icon will be displayed at stereo reception.
At bad reception, it is recommended to choose mono mode, since interfering noise can be better sup-
pressed then.
If the reception quality in stereo mode is bad, unroll the FM cable aerial (30) all the way or align it differently.
In case of interferences in AM reception, you can turn the entire device or position it differently, since the
AM reception uses an aerial integrated in the device.
e) Turntable Operation
Pull the needle protection from the pick-up forwards before taking the turntable into operation. Release the
pick-up arm bracket before turntable operation and fasten the pick-up arm with the pick-up arm bracket
again after use.
• Push the FUNCTION (5) button repeatedly until you have selected turntable operation. The indication PHON ap-
pears in the display (10).
• Set the correct playback speed depending on the record used using the switch 33/45/78 (23).
• Set the switch AUTO STOP ON/OFF (22) as desired.
OFF: The turntable turns while the operating mode turntable is set
ON: The turntable stops turning on its own at the end of playback
In some records, the auto-stop function may not work properly because the area of the outlet groove is not
in compliance with the standard.
• Place the record on the turntable. Use the single puck (20) if necessary.
• Lift the pick-up arm (24) by the pick-up arm lift (21) and turn the pick-up arm over the record.
• Carefully lower the pick-up arm (24) onto the record by the pick-up arm lift (21). Playback commences.
• At the end of the record, the turntable drive will switch off automatically (provided that the AUTO STOP ON/OFF
(22) switch is in the ON position).
• Lift the pick-up arm (24) by the pick-up arm lift (21) and return it to the pick-up arm support.
• If the AUTO STOP ON/OFF (22) switch is in the OFF position or if you want to interrupt playback before the end of
the record, lift the pick-up arm (24) by the pick-up arm lift (21) and turn it back to the pick-up arm support.
