ROBENS KOBUK TENT STOVE
To prevent damage and reduce the risk of fire we recommend that a Robens
tent groundsheet is always rolled back so that the Kobuk tent stove sits
directly on the ground. If this is not possible we recommend a mat con-
structed from fireproof material, such as a fire blanket, is placed between
the stove and groundsheet to prevent damage from embers and sparks
falling from the firebox.
Always have a means of putting out a fire within reach and always
make sure the fire is put out before you go to bed or leave the tent.
Assemble the Kobuk tent stove
Content:
1 pcs. stove
8 pcs. stovepipe sections
1 pcs. flue protector
1 pcs. spark arrestor
2 pcs. chain
2 pcs. hooks
2 pcs. drying racks/shelfs
1 pcs. ash pan
1. Remove the stovepipe sections from their storage position inside the
stove firebox. Turn the tent stove upside down and unfold the two suppor-
ting legs.
Place the stove in the upright position on its legs inside the tent (Do not pla-
ce directly onto the groundsheet). Incorrect assembly of the product can be
dangerous. Always make sure to follow the assembly instructions carefully
and check that all screws and joints are firm and stable before using the
product.

2. Connect the eight sections to create the stovepipe. Firmly push the
sections together to ensure a tight join. This is especially important when
using the stove inside a tent. Feed the top of the stovepipe through the flue
protector and place the spark arrestor onto the top of the stovepipe. The
spark arrestor is connected to the flue protector by hooking the supplied
chain to the eyelets on each component.
3. Insert the assembled stovepipe through the stovepipe port located at
the top of the flysheet of your Robens tent.
4. WARNING – tent fabric must sit between the two protective sleeve mark-
ings on the pipe flue protection. DO NOT ALLOW TO TOUCH FLUE.
5. Tightly push the stovepipe onto the outlet of the Kobuk tent stove fire-
box. Place the stovepipe baffle control in a vertical position.
6. Attach a drying rack on each side of the stove. Finally insert the ash pan
inside the bottom of the stove firebox.
Lighting the Kobuk tent stove
Before you use the Robens tent stove the first time, the stove must be "burnt
off" approximately 4-12 hours depending on temperature outside and size of
flames inside the stove. The first time in use a lot of smoke will appear from
the stove surfaces. It is very important to "burn off" the stove until there is
no more smoke leaving the surfaces. When no smoke appears during use,
the tent stove is ready to use inside your tent.
Source dry timber to prevent the generation of excess smoke and to
minimize the heat lost drying out wet fuel.
