b) Connecting the measuring adapter to the 9 V block battery
Battery
9 V/DC
• Remove the battery by removing it from the
connections on the battery connector.
c) Measuring voltage
The diagram below shows how to connect the adapter to a multimeter or other similar
measurement device. The diagram is only designed to illustrate how to connect the
measurement cables. The measurement device is not included with the product and must be
purchased separately.
To load:
Battery
9 V/DC
Follow the steps below to measure the voltage on the battery connected to the load:
• Connect the battery adapter to the battery that you want to measure. Follow the instructions in section "b)
Connecting the measuring adapter to the 9 V block battery" to establish the connection.
• Connect the plug on the measuring adapter to a compatible multimeter, as shown in figure 3.
• Take the measurement. For details, refer to the instruction manual that came with your measuring device.
d) Measuring current
The diagram below shows how to connect the adapter to a multimeter or other similar
measurement device. The diagram is only designed to illustrate how to connect the measurement
cables. The measurement device is not included and must be purchased separately.
Battery
9 V/DC
Follow the steps below to measure the current on the battery connected to the load:
• Connect the battery adapter to the battery that you want to measure. Follow the instructions in section
"b) Connecting the measuring adapter to the 9 V block battery" to establish the connection.
• Connect the battery adapter to a compatible multimeter, as shown in figure 4. Do not connect the negative
4 mm plug (COM) (1).
• Take the measurement. For instructions, refer to the instruction manual that came with your measuring
device.

e) Measuring voltage and current
The diagram below shows how to connect the adapter to a multimeter or other similar
measurement device. The diagram is only designed to illustrate how to connect the measurement
cables. The measurement devices are not included and must be purchased separately.
Battery
9 V/DC
Two multimeters are required to measure the voltage and current on the battery connected to the load.
Proceed as follows:
• Connect the measuring adapter to the battery that you want to measure. Follow the instructions in section
"b) Connecting the measuring adapter to the 9 V block battery" to establish the connection.
• Connect the measuring adapter to two compatible multimeters, as shown in the diagram (one of the current
measurement and one for the voltage measurement).
• Use a measurement lead on the multimeter and connect it to the socket on the positive plug (7).
• Take the measurement. For instructions, refer to the instruction manual that came with your measuring
devices.
Care and cleaning
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
housing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
