1. Scope
The USB-RS485 + RJ12 KIT consists of a USB RS485 CID 522224 adapter cable allowing connection to a
TAC5/TAC6 control board for Modbus RTU communication. One end of the USB cable is to be connected to a PC
(OS WINDOWS 10) and the other:
-
TAC5 : RJ12 connector, to be connected to the RJ12 coupler of the kit with the cable RJ12- free wires
whose red and green wires are to be connected to terminals A+ and B-, respectively, of the TAC5
control board (see wiring diagram in appendix 1/TAC5).

TAC6: RJ12 connector, to be connected to the RJ1 socket on the control board (see wiring diagram in
appendix 1/ TAC6).
The TACsimulator software available online on the Swegon site can be used as an intuitive graphical interface.
2. Installation

Connect the RJ12 end of the cable to the RJ1 socket of the board.

Connect the USB end to a PC (OS WINDOWS 10)
On the PC, launch the TACsimulator software and go to the "Settings / Connection" menu, then

configure the connection as below:

1. Beschreibung
Das KIT USB-RS485+RJ12 besteht aus einem USB-RS485 Adapterkabel CID 522224, das den Anschluss an eine
TAC5/TAC6 Hauptplatine für die Kommunikation über Modbus RTU ermöglicht. Das eine Ende des Kabels (USB
Stecker) wird mit einem PC (OS WINDOWS 10) verbunden. Die andere Seite des Kabels wird wie folgt mit der
Hauptplatine verbunden:
-TAC5: RJ12-Stecker mit dem RJ12-Koppler des Kits verbinden, die freien Adern des Kopplers werden mit
den Klemmen A+ (rote Ader) bzw. B- (grüne Ader) der Hauptplatine verbunden (siehe Schaltplan in Anhang
1/TAC5).
o COM-poort: selecteer de COM-poort waarop de kabel was aangesloten
o Baudrate: 9600
o Pariteit: N
o Modbus Master: nee
o TAC Modbus-adres: 2
o Druk op "Reset COM" om de wijzigingen te valideren
