Intended use
This product provides a standard protective contact power socket and two USB charging
outputs.
A standard electrical device can be plugged into the power socket; the USB charging output
(USB-A socket) can be used to charge a USB device, such as a smartphone or tablet.
The product must be mounted in a suitable surface-mounted or flush-mounted box.
The connection data and the maximum permitted total power consumption of all connected
loads can be found in the "Technical data" section.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.
Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

Explanation of symbols

The product must only be used and operated in dry, enclosed indoor areas. The
product must not become damp or wet, otherwise there is a risk of a fatal electrical
shock!

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are
connected to the product.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Mounting location
• The product must only be used when it is mounted in a fixed location. Insert the
product into a suitable surface-mounted or flush-mounted box (or other suitable
housing) to ensure that is protected against accidental contact.
• The product is equipped with a protection against accidental contact. An
integrated mechanism will release the holes of the receptacle only, if the two
prongs of a power plug are inserted into the two holes at once.
Take special caution when children are around. Children cannot recognize the
danger arising from the incorrect use of electrical devices. There is a risk of a
life-threatening electric shock!
• Keep the product away from strong magnetic fields, e.g. in the vicinity of
machines, electric motors or loudspeakers.
• Do not use the product in very dusty areas. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• In industrial facilities, the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment
and facilities issued by the Industrial Employers' Liability Association must be
adhered to!
c) Mounting and connection
Important!
The product should only be installed by people with relevant electrical
knowledge and experience! *
• If the product is not installed properly, you endanger:
- Yourself,
- and the user of the electrical system.
• You also risk causing serious damage to property, e.g. due to a fire.
• You must assume personal responsibility for injuries and damage to property.
• Always consult an electrician!
* Technical knowledge required to perform the installation:
The following technical knowledge is required to install the product:
• The "5 safety rules": Disconnect from the mains; protect against accidental
switch-on; ensure there is no voltage; earth and short-circuit; cover or protect
neighbouring live parts.
• Use suitable tools, measuring devices and personal protective equipment.
• Analyse measurement results.
• Use electrical installation materials to ensure the turn-off criteria.
• IP protection ratings
• Install electrical installation materials
• Type of power supply (TN system, IT system, TT system) and the corresponding
connection criteria (classic earthing, protective earthing, necessary additional
measures etc.)
If you do not know how to mount the product, get an expert to do it for you; do
not mount or connect it yourself.
• This product was built according to protection class I. The earth wire must be
connected!
If there is no mains cable with an earth wire at the mounting location, the product
must not be mounted or connected. Before connecting the product, fit a new
mains cable with an earth wire.
If no earth wire is connected, there is a risk of a fatal electrical shock in the event
that the product malfunctions!
• A multi-phase circuit breaker must be installed, e.g. a residual current circuit
breaker. A correctly dimensioned fuse (e.g. an automatic fuse) (max. 16 A) must
be fitted between the residual current circuit breaker and the product).
• Only mount the product in an easily accessible location.
• Only mount and connect the product when the cables have been completely
disconnected from the mains voltage, otherwise there is a risk of a fatal electrical
shock!
