Bewaar deze handleiding op een veilige plaats nadat u de Melia kinderstoel hebt gemonteerd.
U of andere gebruikers hebben die in de toekomst misschien
nog nodig.
Zorg ervoor dat uw fiets geschikt is voor de Melia kinderstoel. Indien u vragen hebt, raad-
pleeg dan de gegevens die bij de fiets zijn meegeleverd, of vraag het na bij uw fietswinkel
of -fabrikant.
De fabrikant is niet aansprakelijk voor schade die het gevolg is van het niet naleven van de
gebruikershandleiding.
Monteer de Melia stoel aan de rechterkant (vanuit de zadel bekeken).
Zorg ervoor dat de schroeven van de bevestigingsset goed vastzitten, en controleer dit
regelmatig.
Dit product is niet geschikt voor gebruik in de auto of andere voertuigen anders dan bakfiet-
sen, fietskarren en bolderwagens.
Zorg voor optimaal comfort en veiligheid van uw kind en controleer of het zitje niet naar
voren helt, waardoor het kind eruit zou kunnen vallen.
Installeer het zitje volgens de beschrijving in de producthandleiding. Controleer regelmatig of
het kind niet zwaarder is dan het maximaal toegestane gewicht.
Dit product is goedgekeurd voor kinderen vanaf 2 maanden tot maximaal 9 maanden, met
een gewicht van maximaal 15 kg. Kinderen jonger dan 2 maanden mogen vanwege het lage
gewicht van het kind, uitsluitend worden vervoerd in een stoeltje dat daarvoor geschikt is en
het stoeltje moet voorzien zijn van bijbehorende accessoires van Melia om de stabiliteit te
vergroten. Houd er rekening mee dat u niet sneller rijdt dan 10 kmph met kinderen jonger
dan 2 maanden.
Zorg dat u en uw kind tijdens de fietsrit een goedgekeurde fietshelm dragen in landen of
gebieden waar dat verplicht is. Controleer vóór gebruik of er nationale wet- of regelgeving
is over het vervoer van een kind in een bakfiets of fietskar. U kunt hierover contact ook
opnemen met Melia.
Controleer vóór elke fietsrit of de Melia kinderstoel het sturen niet belemmert. Gebruik steeds
de gordel, en zorg
ervoor dat u die correct om uw kind vastzet. Controleer of de gordel niet loszit of klem zit.
Zorg ervoor dat kleren, schoenen, speelgoed of lichaamsdelen van het kind niet in contact
komen met bewegende onderdelen van de fiets, zoals wielen, bedrading en zadelveren. Con-
troleer dit regelmatig naarmate het kind groter wordt. Zadelveren kunnen worden afgedekt
met geschikte zadelveerbescherming. Zorg dat er zich geen scherpe voorwerpen binnen het
bereik van het kind bevinden, zoals gerafelde kabels.
Het kind in het zitje heeft vaak warmere kleding nodig dan de fietser. Om u beiden te
beschermen tegen onverwachtse regen is het verstandig
om waterbestendige kleding mee te nemen of een overkapping te plaatsen.
Controleer de temperatuur van het zitje voordat u het kind erin zet, vooral op hete, zonnige
dagen.
Raadpleeg de wasinstructies in de bekleding voordat u die reinigt. Laat de bekleing drogen in
een open ruimte om schimmelvorming te voorkomen.
Verander het product op geen enkele wijze.De fiets kan zich anders gedragen met een
kind in het zitje, vooral als het gaat om evenwicht, sturen en remmen. Laat de fiets nooit
onbewaakt achter met een kind in het zitje. Laat het kind nooit in het zitje wanneer de fiets
is geparkeerd,
Garantie
De MELIA garantie dekt elk defect van en elke schade aan uw MELIA product gedurende 2
(twee) jaar vanaf de aankoopdatum door de
oorspronkelijke koper.
Koopt u direct via MELIA dan kunnen kleine onderdelen die u bent kwijtgeraakt en die het
daardoor onmogelijk maken om het Melia product (veilig) te kunnen gebruiken, gratis naar
de oorspronkelijke koper verzonden zelfs als de termijn van 2 jaar is verstreken. Na 2 jaar
kunt u wel de verzendkosten betalen als MELIA dat wenselijk vindt.
De MELIA garantie dekt geen defecten die het gevolg zijn van omstandigheden waarover
MELIA geen controle heeft. Deze omstandigheden zijn inclusief, maar niet beperkt tot,
misbruik, overbelasting, of het niet in staat zijn om het product of de accessoire te monteren,
te bevestigen of te gebruiken overeenkomstig de geschreven instructies, richtlijnen en vei-
ligheidsvoorschriften van MELIA. Ook dekt de garantie geen schade aan uw bakfiets, fietskar,
bolderwagen of andere voertuigen en vracht van de gebruiker, of aan andere personen en
eigendommen.
MELIA behoudt zich het recht voor om:
1. Het artikel te repareren dat onder de voorwaarden van de MELIA garantie valt.
2. Het artikel te vervangen als de schade of het defect niet kan worden gerepareerd.
3. Een vergelijkbaar product met een vergelijkbare waarde aan te bieden, of de betaalde
prijs te restitueren, als we het artikel niet door hetzelfde model kunnen vervangen.

2: maak het product schoon en zoek de aankoopbon op
3: breng het product samen met de bovenstaande documenten naar de dealer of neem
contact op met MELIA als u het bij MELIA heeft aangekocht.
Stap 4: de dealer rapporteert de claim aan de MELIA klantenservice
Stap 5: de MELIA klantenservice verwerkt de claim en informeert de MELIA dealer over de
beslissing
Stap 6: de dealer neemt weer contact met u op.
Safety
Keep this manual in a safe place after you have assembled the Melia seat. You or other
users might need it in the future
Make sure your bike is suitable for the Melia seat. If you have any questions, consult the
information provided with the
seat or check with your bike shop or manufacturer.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from non-compliance with the user
manual.
Mount the Melia seat on the right (viewed from the saddle).
Make sure that the screws of the mounting set are tight, and check this regularly.
This product is not suitable for use in a car or other vehicles other than cargo bikes,
bicycle trailers and childrenpush trolleys
Ensure optimum comfort and safety for your child and check that the seat does not tilt
forward, which could cause the child to fall out.
Install the seat according to the description in the product manual. Regularly check that
the child is no heavier than the maximum weight allowed.
This product is approved for children from 2 months up to maximum 9 months, with a
maximum weight of 15 kg. Due to the child's low weight, children under the age of 2
months may only be transported in a seat that is suitable for that purpose and the seat
must be equipped with associated accessories from Melia to increase stability. Please note
that you do not drive faster than 10 kmph with children under 2 months of age.
Make sure that you and your child wear an approved bicycle helmet during the cycle ride
in countries or regions where required. Check before use whether there are national laws
or regulations on the transport of a child in a cargo bike or bicycle trailer. You can also
contact Melia about this.
Before each bicycle ride, check that the Melia seat does not obstruct steering. Always use
the belt. Make sure you have it correctly fixed. Check if the belt is not loose or stuck
Ensure that clothes, shoes, toys or body parts of the child do not come into contact
with moving parts of the bicycle, such as wheels, wiring and saddle springs. Check this
regularly as you go the child grows up. Make sure there are no sharp objects within reach
of the child, such as frayed cables.
The child in the seat often needs warmer clothing than the cyclist. It is wise to protect
both of you against unexpected rain
to take water-resistant clothing or place a canopy.
Check the temperature of the seat before inserting the child, especially on hot, sunny
days.
Consult the washing instructions in the cover before cleaning. Allow the cover to dry in an
open space to prevent mold.
Do not change the product in any way. The bicycle can behave differently with a child
in the seat, especially when it comes to balance, steering and braking. Never leave the
bicycle unattended with a child in the seat. Never leave the child in the seat when the
bicycle is parked.
Guarantee
The MELIA warranty covers every defect and damage to your MELIA product for 2 (two)
years from the date of purchase by the
original buyer.
If you buy directly through MELIA, small parts that you have lost and that make it impossible
to use the Melia product (safety) can be sent to the original buyer free of charge even if the
2-year period has expired. After 2 years you can pay the shipping costs if MELIA considers
it desirable.
The MELIA warranty does not cover defects that are the result of circumstances over
which MELIA has no control. These circumstances include, but are not limited to, misuse,
overloading, or inability to assemble, confirm, or use the product or accessory in accordance
with written instructions, guidelines, and safety rules from MELIA. The warranty also does not
cover damage to your cargo bike, bicycle trailer, pushtrolley or other vehicles and cargo of
the user, or to other persons and property.
MELIA reserves the right to:
1. Repair the item that falls under the terms of the MELIA warranty.
2. Replace the item if the damage or defect cannot be repaired.
3. Offer a comparable product with a comparable value, or refund the price paid, if we cannot
replace the item with the same model.
What to do?
1: complete the claim form
2: clean the product and look up the purchase receipt
3: Bring the product together with the above documents to the dealer or contact MELIA if you
have purchased it from MELIA.
Step 4: the dealer reports the claim to MELIA customer service
Step 5: MELIA customer service processes the claim and informs the MELIA dealer about
the decision
