USE
The tanning process, when using the Sunshower requires time, just like it would
with sunlight. The first results will be visible after a few sessions. Excessive
exposure to ultraviolet light, whether produced by the sun or by a tanning
unit, may cause sunburn. In addition to many other factors, such as excessive
exposure to sunlight, incorrect and excessive use of a tanning unit may increase
the risk of skin and eye diseases. The more skin and eyes are exposed to UV
light, the greater the chance of cornea inflammation, conjunctivitis, retina
damage, cataract, premature ageing of the skin and the onset of skin cancer.
Certain medication and cosmetics increase the sensitivity of the skin. The
level at which these effec¬ts occur are determined by the nature, intensity and
duration of the exposure and by the sensitivity of the person in question.
A HEALTHY SUMMER TAN WITH THE SUNSHOWER
The Sunshower is suitable for frequent use, but please bear in mind the
maximum amount of tanning hours per year (25 hours per body part). Please
adhere to the recommended times per skin type and body part (front or back of
the body). If your skin turns red after a session, you should refrain from further
exposure to UV light and take a week´s break.
FOUR TYPES OF FAIR-SKINNED PEOPLE
1. Very sensitive: burns quickly and does not go brown. Do not use the
Sunshower.
2. Sensitive skin: burns quickly, goes brown slowly
3. Normal skin: rarely burns, easily turns brown
4. Less sensitive skin: almost never burns, tans very well
It takes 8 to 15 sessions before a body part gets tanned. The amount of required
sessions depends on the desired result. Always wait 48 hours after the first
session before commencing the second session. Determine the tanning time
based on the following table.
Skin type
1 Very sensitive
2 Sensitive
3 Normale
4 Less sensitive
