• ALWAYS place the appliance on a solid and flat base, such as a kitchen counter or table, so that the appliance
will not move or turn over.
• If the appliance should fall into water when plugged in, first remove the plug from the socket before you
remove the appliance from the water. Then bring the appliance to an authorized after sales service.
• NEVER use extension cords or sockets. Place the appliance near a power point and connect it directly.
ALWAYS completely unroll the power cord.
• NEVER let the cord hang over the edge of the table or the counter.
• NEVER place the power supply cord near heat sources such as cookers, heatings or ovens.
• NEVER take the appliance by the cord. NEVER bend or squeeze the electrical cord or turn it round the
appliance or on sharp edges.
• NEVER touch the knife or any other moving parts with your hands.
• Only use the appliance on the mains voltage as indicated on the identification label.
• This appliance is only suited for indoor household use, and not for professional use.
• Only use original accessories.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Remove all packaging and stickers.
• Keep packaging away from children.
• First check your appliances for possible damages. If it is damaged, do NOT use the appliance but bring it back
to your sales point.
• Clean the appliance as described under 'Cleaning' before the first use.
• The appliance is now ready for use.

USE AND OPERATION
• The appliance is only suited for bread, NOT for other food such as cheese, ham, salami or vegetables and
CERTAINLY NOT for hard objects such as wood, bones, cans,...
• Do not use the slicer for more than 5 continuous minutes. Let the motor cool off for at least 20 minutes
before storing the appliance.
• Always place the appliance on a solid surface, such as a kitchen counter or a table, so that the appliance
cannot slip or tip over, and NEVER place the appliance on or near a heat source (e.g. cooking plate,...)
• Make sure that the power cord doesn't come into contact with a heat source and that no one can trip over
the power cord.
• Fold down the base (8). Put the carriage and the rest holder in place. With the control button (2) you can set
the desired cutting thickness (in mm).
• Use the carriage to press the food against the stop plate (1).
• Switch on the appliance by pressing the safety switch (5) and the On switch (4) at the same time. Gently and
smoothly push the carriage (10) forward and against the rotating knife, do not push too hard, let the knife
work. ALWAYS use the rest holder (9) for your own safety.

CLEANING
• Before cleaning or before removing the knife, unplug the slicer and place the stop plate (1) in the initial
position.
• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and dry with a dry cloth. Avoid using aggressive detergents.
• NEVER immerse the electrical part in water or any other fluids.
• In order to remove the knife, take the grip on the knife (11) and turn right (+/- 90°), then remove the knife.
CAREFUL, the knife is sharp! Clean the knife (3) with a brush. We recommend to clean the area behind the
knife every now and then with a damp cloth. Replace the knife and turn the grip to the left.
• The accessories (carriage, rest holder) need to be cleaned in warm soapy water (NOT in the dishwasher).
• To store the appliance: turn the control button for the slicing thickness (2) to 0, remove the rest holder (9)
and the carriage (10) and shut the base.
