GENERAL INFORMATION

General
These are the mounting instructions for the Novy hood shown on the cover. The manual is a separate booklet that has
been supplied with this hood. Carefully read these instructions before installing and commissioning the wall-mounted
chimney hood. It is recommended to have one or more qualified persons carry out the installation only.
Carefully take the hood from the packaging.
The hood is to be used above a cooking plate and/or domino and intended for household use only.
Important before mounting
Page 2 of these mounting instructions show the mounting drawings. Observe the following mounting tips before starting
the mounting activities:
• For easier mounting of the wall-mounted chimney hood, it is recommended to do this with at least 2 persons.
• Check if all mounting materials have been supplied using the drawing on page 2.
• Position the wall socket such, that it is behind the shafts of the wall-mounted chimney hood.
• Make sure that the wall has sufficient load bearing capacity.
Exhaust or recirculation
Before starting any mounting activities, you must have made the choice if you are going to make an exhaust duct to the
outside or if you are going to use the wall-mounted chimney hood as a recirculation hood. If you choose for recirculation,
Novy offers the recirculation kit with item number 6200.400.
INSTALLATION
Proceed according to the mounting drawings on page 2.
When removing the hood from the packaging, note that the mounting materials and the shaft parts have been packaged
separately.
The mounting materials include two suspension brackets, a ceiling bracket and various screws for fastening.
The recommended distance between the bottom of the hood and the cooking plate is min. 65 cm and max. 75 cm with
normal use.
When using a Novy rear wall, the distance between the cooking plate and the bottom of the hood is 69 cm or 75 cm
(dependent on what type of rear wall is chosen).
1. Attach the two suspension brackets (B) to the wall. Pay due attention to the drilling jig for the correct size.
2. Now hang the hood unto the two suspension brackets. Small corrections can be made for level mounting of the hood
by screwing the suspension brackets in or out.
3. For mounting the hood tightly against the wall, fasten the screws in the hood (see mounting drawing A). For this, first
remove the filters from the hood

2. Now mount the chimneys onto the wall with the two screws (H).
Mounting with recirculation
