4.2 Operating the display

There are three buttons on the display:
A. On/Off button for the system
Press this button to activate the assistance system.
After switching it on, the display will light up. The system
has now started. Switch the system back off by pressing
this button again (ill. 24).
NB: After starting the system, assistance will be automatically
at 'NORMAL' .
B. Regulation of degree of assistance
Press this button to regulate the degree of assistance.
There are four options which you can choose by pressing
the button repeatedly.
No assistance: choose this option when you want to
cycle independently without assis-tance from the motor
(ill. 24A).
ECO - Economic assistance: this option costs you
minimum battery power and can be se-lected for longer
distances or when you require minimum assistance from
your motor (ill. 25).
NORMAL- Normal assistance: select this option
for average motor assistance (ill. 26).
BOOST- Extra assistance: select this option if you require
maximum assistance, when cy-cling uphill for example
(ill. 27).
C. Trip statistics
Using this button will display various statistics on your
screen. By pressing the button repeatedly, you can see
the following four statistics on your screen.
Average: here you can view your average speed.
Pressing the button (button C) for 3 sec-onds will
reset the average speed to zero (ill. 28).
Trip: here you can read how far you have cycled.
Pressing the button (button C) for 3 sec-onds will
reset the average speed to zero (ill. 29).
Total: this shows your total distance cycled, and
cannot be reset to zero (ill. 30).
