Possible cause / solution
•
The MAX marking in the frying container was exceeded. Remove
excess oil / fat.
•
The frying basket is overfi lled. Reduce the quantity of food!
•
The food for cooking is moist or contains too much water (for
example frozen food). Remove the ice and dry the food for cook-
ing before you lower the frying basket very slowly.
•
Mixture of different oils / fats. Dispose of the fat and then fi ll the
frying container with one single type of fat.
•
The oil / fat is no longer fresh. Replace the frying bath (after no
more than 12 cycles).
•
The fat is unsuitable. Use vegetable fat to achieve a good frying
quality.
•
The frying basket is overfi lled. Reduce the quantity of food!
•
The food for cooking is moist or contains too much water (for
example frozen food). Remove the ice and dry the food for cook-
ing before you lower the frying basket very slowly.
•
Pieces of food are too thick or contain too much water. Try a long-
er cooking time. Cut the food to be cooked into smaller pieces.
•
Too great a quantity was deep-fried in one go and the frying bath
is not hot enough. Wait until the control lamp goes out. Only ever
deep-fry small quantities of the food to be cooked (particularly
with frozen food).
•
The temperature of the frying bath may be too low. Set the tem-
perature controller to a higher temperature.
