Intended use
The kitchen thermometer is intended for use as an insertion or an immersion thermometer in
the home.
It can be used to measure the temperature of foods, liquids or other products into which the
thermometer can be inserted or immersed.
The indicator head with the display is splash-proof. Only the probe point may be immersed in
liquids.
The product is not dishwasher-safe.
The power is to be supplied by a battery only (for type, see "Technical data").
Any use other than that described above is not permitted and can damage the product. In ad-
dition, it can lead to hazards such as short-circuit, fire, etc.
Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.
No part of the product may be modified or converted.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.

Inserting/replacing batteries
• Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the indicator head by turning the cover

• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the prod-
uct is not permitted.
• The thermometer is not a professional measuring device. Please use high-quality
measuring equipment if you need high measurement accuracy.
• The manufacturer does not accept any liability for incorrect or inaccurate readings
or any consequences resulting from such readings.
• The indicator head is not suited to the high temperatures that the probe tip can
measure. Placing the whole thermometer, e.g. in a baking oven, is not permitted.
• The thermometer is not suited for use in a microwave.
• Avoid subjecting the device to severe mechanical stress. Do not subject it to
strong vibrations.
• This product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave packaging materials unattended. It may become a dangerous play-
thing for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
• Also observe any further safety instructions in the individual sections of this op-
erating guide.
• If you have any doubts about the correct operation, or the safety of the product,
please consult a specialist.
Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
Do not leave the batteries lying around in the open; there is the risk that they
will be swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with
the skin. You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or
thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explo-
sion! Only charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose;
use a suitable battery charger.
Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting
the battery.
