Possible cause / solution
•
The permanent fi lter (11) or the coffee bean container (3) is
not fi lled with coffee powder or coffee beans.
•
Is the water tank empty?
•
Has the device overheated? Wait a few minutes between
two brewing processes until the device has cooled down.
•
The device needs to be cleaned or descaled (see the
"Cleaning and Descaling" chapter).
•
The coffee powder is too coarsely or too fi nely ground.
•
The ratio between the amount of coffee powder and water
is not correct.
•
Poor quality of the coffee powder or water.
•
Has the timer function been activated? (See the "Timer
Function" chapter)
•
When water fi rst passes through the device, an unusual
odour may occur and this is caused by production resi-
dues. Before you fi rst use the device, allow water to run
through it a few times and then pour it away in order to
fl ush through the lines of the device (see the "Before Initial
Use" chapter).
