Danger of burns! The hotplate, the permanent fi lter, the fi lter holder, the fi lter com-
partment and the fi lter cover are hot during the brewing process and immediately
afterwards. There may also be hot water inside the permanent fi lter and fi lter holder.
Only touch any of the parts once they have cooled down.

Danger of scalding! Do not move the device while it is in operation.
■
Danger of injury due to sharp blades! Do not reach into the grinding mechanism
and do not insert any objects into the grinding mechanism! Never hold the blades
with bare hands.
■
Do not use the device if it is damaged. Switch off the device and pull the mains plug
out of the plug socket if an error occurs during operation or before a thunderstorm.
■
The coffee which is prepared is hot! Be careful handling hot liquids.
■
Do not use the coffee jug if its handle is loose or damaged.
■
Do not place the device right at the edge of tables or kitchen counters and do not
allow the mains cable to hang over the edge of the surface it is placed on. Others may
become caught and pull the device down.
■
Lay the mains cable or an extension cable in such a way that it does not present a
trip hazard.
Danger of Electric Shock
■
Use the device only in closed rooms.
■
The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with safety
contacts. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that
the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match
the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical
data is the same as that of the device.
■
Never immerse the device, mains cable or mains plug in water or other liquids and
ensure that they cannot fall into liquids or become wet.
■
Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not at-
tempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
■
Never touch the device, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when it is con-
nected to the mains power. Do not operate it outdoors or in rooms with high humidity.
■
Always pull the mains plug and never the mains cable.
Danger of Fire
■
Do not use the device near to combustible material or in rooms containing easily
ignitable dust or poisonous and explosive fumes.
■
The bottom of the main unit gets warm during operation. Make sure that the air can
circulate around the device and the ventilation openings are clear. Do not insert any-
thing into the ventilation openings of the device.
■
Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent the device from catching
fi re.
■
In the event of a fi re: Do not extinguish with water! Smother the fl ames with a fi reproof
blanket or a suitable fi re extinguisher.
■
Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul-
tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
