OPERATION
Switching the cooking zone on and off
If the hob is already switched on, the cooking zone may be selected by the heat setting selec-
tion sensor (2). All cooking zones are connected to the heat setting selection sensor (2). The
connection of the cooking zone with the heat setting selection sensor (2) is also indicated by
dotted lines. After selecting the cooking zone ( under the triangles ▼fig.) , the heat level is
adjusted by touching the heat setting selection sensor (2). The heat level may be decreased
or increased by "moving" the finger on the heat setting selection sensor field (2) from 0 to
P. Heat setting is shown on the display depending on the position of the finger on the heat
setting selection sensor field (2). If the heat level is set to 0, the cooking zone is turned off.
Switching off all cooking zones
All cooking zones can be switched off at any time, simply press and hold the on/off sensor
(1). Cooking zones may be switched off even with an enabled hob lock.

Detection of cookware on a cooking zone

Detection of cookware on the cooking zone (pot identification function) is activated automati-
cally by selecting the cooking zone (heat level is set). If the system does not detect the pot,
display of the cooking zone alternately flashes "pot" and the selected heat level. Even if the
hob does not detect the pot, heat level may be changed. Deactivating the detection of cook-
ware on the cooking zone is not possible.
