− Repairs and replacing faulty or damaged wiring must
only be carried out by technicians who have undergone
instruction by Novy.
− Moisture that has got into the appliance may cause an
electric shock. Do not use a high pressure or steam
cleaner.
2 ACCESSORIES
This cooker hood has to be connected to
two Novy internal motors (2x 245.999), so
two recirculation boxes are required.
Recirculation
If you choose recirculation, Novy offers the outlet box in
various sizes, including type 841.400 / 842.400 / 843.400
or type 7931.400 / 7932.400 / 7933.400.
Recirculation without an outlet box is also possible. This
basic kit contains a monoblock filter.
The monoblock filter is placed directly behind the grease
filter.
The exhaust grill to let the filtered air back into the kitchen
must be provided by you.
Attention!
Minimum net opening of the exhaust grill.

Remote motors
This cooker hood has to be connected to
two external Novy motors.
For models without an integrated motor, you have the
option of a Novy remote motor.
This enables you to install a cooker hood in a suspended
ceiling with limited height and create absolute silence in
the kitchen. When installing a remote motor the sound
level depends on the type of motor and installation.
If the Novy cooker hood is installed without a Novy motor
(or the motor without a Novy cooker hood) the warranty
becomes void.
A choice can be made between an internal motor, an ex-
ternal wall motor or a roof motor. The hood is connected
to an earthed wall socket. The hood and the motor unit
are electrically connected by means of a 6-pole plug
connection. Additional information can be found in the
mounting instructions of the motor involved.

Adapter for connecting flat ducts
The motor is mounted remotely by using the adapter and
you are able to connect a flat duct directly to the ceiling
unit. The advantage is the low build-in height (article
number 830.053).
Use the flat exhaust connection piece (906.402) to con-
nector the flat exhaust duct to the outlet of the adapter.
This cooker hood has to be connected to two external
Novy external motors, so two adapters are necessary.
CAUTION! Before assembly:
Discharge direction of the adapter.

Extension cable
When mounting the motor unit remotely, it may be de-
sirable to place a longer cable between the hood and
motor. The extension cable is connected to the existing
cable. The extension cable has a length of 5 m (7000.092).
This cooker hood has to be connected to two external Novy
external motors, so two extension cables are necessary.
