Before working with the meter for the first time, calibrate it once in fresh outdoor air, see
chapter 12.

Switching the meter on and off

Press the ON/OFF-key to turn the meter on
and off.
The meter emits a short beep and performs a 30
seconds countdown.
After the warmup phase it emits another beep and
the actual reading is shown in the display.
