7. Product description
General
The multimeter has a graphic TFT colour display. This display can be used for all necessary displays and to implement
all settings.
A main menu, which can be called up via a multi-function button, allows you to set the operating parameters. The
arrow buttons allow easy navigation in the menu.
Digital multimeter
The multimeter (DMM) displays measured values on a graphic colour display. The measured value display of the DM
has 6000 counts (count = smallest display value). The true RMS value is used when measuring voltages and currents.
Automatic shut-off can be set on the multimeter. Possible values are 15, 30 or 60 minutes. If the DMM is not oper-
ated for this period of time, the device switches off automatically. This saves battery power and extends the period of
operation. The automatic shut-off feature can be disabled manually.
The DMM can be used to take measurements up to CAT III 1000 V and CAT IV 600 V. It is suitable for use in hobby
and professional applications.
Protective caps may be attached to the angled test lead plugs. Remove these before inserting the test leads into the
multimeter.
The DMM can be placed on a level surface using the fold-out stand for better readability.
A magnetic hanger can be attached to the measuring instrument. This allows for attachment to all ferromagnetic metal
surfaces.
The current measurement ranges (µA, mA, 10 A) are secured against overload by ceramic high-performance fuses. If
a measurement is no long possible in these ranges, the fuses must be checked and replaced, if necessary.
Infrared thermal imaging camera
An IR thermal imaging camera is integrated into the multimeter. The camera enables the visual representation of heat
distribution in objects and on surfaces. Temperature distribution is displayed with false colour photography. 5 different
colour palettes can be set to ensure the best possible contrast display.
The temperature in the centre of the image (spot area) as well as the maximum and minimum temperature values are
indicated by a marker. With the extensive setting options, the thermal imaging function can be used for many areas
of application.
Thermal images can be stored on a microSD memory card.
Rotary switch (D)
The individual measuring functions are selected via a rotary switch. The automatic
range selection 'Auto range' is active. This means that the appropriate measurement
range is set automatically. The current measurement ranges must be set manually.
Always start current measurements with the largest measurement range and then
switch to a smaller range, if necessary.
Some rotary switch ranges are multi-occupied. Use the 'MODE' button to toggle the
sub-functions (e.g. toggling resistance measurement to diode test and continuity
testing or AC/DC toggling). The function is toggled with each press.
To switch the multimeter off, move the rotary switch to the 'OFF' position. Always
switch the multimeter off when it is not in use.
